Student Ministry

OUR VISION IS FOR EVERY STUDENT TO EXPERIENCE LIFE-DEFINING COMMUNION WITH GOD

We want students to know the love of Christ, have a safe place to share, and grow in their relationship with Him. Find out about student ministries below.

STAY CONNECTED

At Christ Community Student Ministry, we have multiple ways for your student to get involved!

Wednesday Night Live

Wednesday Night Live (WNL) is our student gathering that takes place every Wednesday night at Christ Community. WNL is a time set-apart for students to experience communion with God through games, relevant bible teaching, worship, and the pursuit of community.

Middle School is from 6:30–7:50pm.

High School is from 8:00–9:15pm.

Connect Groups

Connect Groups are spaces for students to engage with the Bible, in prayer, and together in community. We believe these groups are valuable spaces for students who want to dig deeper into their faith and have a supportive community as they develop a personal relationship with Jesus. There are a number of different groups available and we would LOVE to get your student connected.

Sunday AM

Sunday AM is all about digging deeper into Scripture. If you are a current 6th-8th grader, join us on Sunday morning in the gym, or if you are a current 9th-12th grader, join us in room C2. Both run from 9-10:15am.

GET TO KNOW THE TEAM!

MORIAH COOPER

Hi there! I'm Moriah and I am so grateful to be a part of the student ministry team here at Christ Community! Ames is my hometown and it's such a joy to be back here working with students. When I'm not at church, you can find me learning something new (got any skills you want to pass on?) or somewhere outside in the sun. Shoot me a text and let's grab a smoothie, a coffee, or an ice cream!

CARL MEESE

I am an Ames native, a Texan by way of college, and a Californian for the first few years of work-life. For me, community was the catalyst for my life turning a corner in Christ. In college, I discovered that the Living God spoke to me, even wanted to! I met my wife Mattie leading house worship with some friends, and I’ve never been the same. This season of walking with students in knowing and experiencing Jesus is a wild privilege. It’s a dream I didn’t even know I had. I’m so excited to participate in what God is doing in central Iowa.
