Here at Christ Community Church, Connect Groups are at the heart of our ministry. They’re the place where you get connected to others, live life together, and are encouraged to grow spiritually. We believe spiritual growth happens when people get connected to one another and to God and his Word.
Interested in knowing more but not ready to commit to a group? We have an open group that meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:30. This is a great way to see how our connect groups function, ask questions and meet new people in our congregation. If you are interested, contact Jill Scott at
What do connect groups look like? Our groups range in size from 5-15 people and meet in people's homes. We have groups for couples, men, women and blended groups (couples and singles).
What do we study? Most of the Connect Groups are “sermon-aligned” and study the previous weekend’s message.
Am I going to have to talk or can I just sit and listen during meetings? Connect group is like family, sometimes you talk, sometimes you listen. No one is forced to talk or to lead the group. We all move at a different pace, and you’re allowed to do just that.
Will I have to pray out loud? No. Again, you’re allowed to move and grow at your own pace. If the time comes in your life where you feel you want to voice a prayer request, that’s well received. If the time comes when you’d like to lead in prayer, that is also well received.
How much do I have to know about the Bible? Connect group is about learning the Bible, not debating it or being tested on it. Everyone has a different level of knowledge about the Bible, including people who are exploring it for the very first time.
How do I become a part of a connect group? Click on the link below and share your information with us. We will contact you and help to find a group that works with your schedule and meets your current needs.
What if I am placed in a group and it's not a good fit? We have an "easy on-ramp, easy off-ramp" approach. We know that it can take some time to find a group that works well for everyone. Join a group and stay for 6-8 weeks. If it's a good fit, great! If not, we are happy to find a different group for you.
